Hi guys,

I am starting like many here a web radio station Wink. Because the sound off only Sam + shout cast is very bad I search the web and found sound solution. A big plus sound solution works in Sam like a plug-in only there are so many sound options I don’t get the music sounds good. I know that you can load presets en a downloaded a few here but how do i put those presets in sound solution.
I know i am a noob  Embarrassedits really frustrating.

Tanks,

First take off SAM agc (agc is active for default), take care to off in all players in SAM and in the Mixer (Config>Audio Mixer Pipeline>AGC, and take that the Eq is deactivate too...only use Soundsolution in DSP, nothing more is needed...then you can choose a preset (downloaded from here). GAPs and D@Bs are good options for streaming...You can listen my stream and listen how good can sound your station with soundsolution... Grin
My stream: http://playfmcorrientes.listen2myradio.com (mp3 128kbps stream)

That's right! disable all eq, agc and other stuff in the players and final lines of SAM bc.
Enable just SS 2.0

And one more thing, on both players try to lower volume for 1db just for safety precautions. (clipping issue)

If you're going to disable the AGC on each playback deck, then consider running all mp3s through mp3Gain
http://mp3gain.sourceforge.net/

But for SS2 in the final output section, I think you can get better results by using just the AGC in each deck (NOT the multiband or limiters) and make the deck AGC nice and slow, with lots of gating.  I have presets for what I'm talking about, for people subscribing to get my private files.

grb, why is your stream in mono now?  Sad

GRB, yes, why mono?

And what kind of preset are you using?

 Wink Now in stereo  Grin

http://giss.tv:8000/playfm.mp3 (aac+ 56kb/s Stereo)
http://playfmcorrientes.listen2myradio.com (mp3 64kb/s Mono)
http://playfmaac.listen2myradio.com (aac+ 20kb/s Stereo)

...I dont have a streaming service and I can't to pay it, my station is non commercial until now....and the free services are bads and doesn't support to stream to 128 kb/s well... If someone wants to give me a streaming service for free  or to change for any ads, banners or advertisements in my statrion at 128Kbs for 25 users I will be very happy.
