Hey guys, just a quick plug for non-stop:VIBE lols ... (Well it does invite us too !)

www.nonstopvibe.net

We are long time users of and swear by Alessandro's Sound Solution DSP plugin, we've used it on-air since we started and quite simply it
sounds ... FAB !

Here's a few details about our setup & use of the plugin ...

Our playout system is "StationPlaylist Standard" which we use the matching scheduler for, I've never quite come across better crossfading, even from much more expensive systems ! Our TX chain runs with a Winamp Compressor & Wider plugin at the top (M. Pesch) which then goes to Sound Solution v1.31 running the "Optimod 8100" preset untweaked.

The audio then routes to Oddcast v3 for mp3 & WMA encoding at various rates, the mp3 stream @ 128k Stereo goes out via a Shoutcast Server and our WMA (much preferred !) streams go out @ 24k (for monitoring via Windows Mobile Phone !) 64k and 80k. We find the 80k WMA stream to be the best for overall sound quality.

Our whole operation is run directly off a "Windows Server 2003 x64 Data Center Edition" Remote Server based in the USA & run by www.serverpoint.com and we remotely administer & run the station over a remote desktop connection from our studio here in the UK. Live shows are possible by feeding a live stream from the studio to the remote server & switching it remotely, although most of our programming is automated, or live assist which for us is simply recording links 5 minutes ahead, uploading and manually playing them out vis the remote server / playout software. We find that allows for maximum creativity ... We have a team of 10 DJ's who work in this fashion, and the overall station sound is something I'm immensely proud of Smiley

Hope this provides an insight into what we do @ VIBE, I'd love to chat "tech" with anyone who's interested, so drop a line !
