After the Division Azul and the subsequent Spanish Legion had been disbanded , a number of Spaniards, for different reasons, did not to return to Spain. Some of them worked for the Sauckel or Speer organizations, others had joined the Wehrmacht, some had been imprisoned on grounds of unauthorized and illegal stay in Germany.
